Bugatti Veyron is one of the fastest street legal production car in the world, with a top speed of 431 km/h (268 mph). The original version has a top speed of 408.47 km/h (253.81 mph). It was named Car of the Decade (2000–2009)
The exterior of the car was designed by Jozef Kaban from Volkswagen. Veyron commissioned by Volkswagen, but the Veyron is sold only through the Bugatti manufacturer dealers and Volkswagen dealer does not have the right to deal with the car.
The Bugatti Veyron has an 8 liter, quad turbo charged, W16 cylinder engine rather than V8 engine which is equivalent to two V8 narrow wide engines. Each cylinder has four valves and a total of sixty four, but the narrow staggered V8 configuration allows two overhead camshafts to drive two banks of cylinders so only four camshafts are needed.
The engine is runs with four turbo chargers and produces 7,993cc (487.8 cubic inch ), with a square 86 by 86 mm (3.4 by 3.4 inches) bore and stroke.
The transmission is a double clutch direct shift gearbox which is computer controlled with automatic transmission with seven gears, loaded with magnesium paddles behind the steering wheel and with a shifting time of less than 150 milli seconds, The Bugatti Veyron can be driven in either semi or fully automatic mode at the same time at the option of the driver. A transmission replacement cost for the Veyron is just over US$120,000. It also has permanent four wheel drive shaft using the Haldex Traction system. It uses special run-flat tyres system which never punctures and has an extremly solid road grip, designed specifically to match the Veyron's top speed, which cost US$ 25,000 per set. The tyres can be removed from the rims only in France, at a service center which costs US$ 70,000. weight is around 1,888 kilograms (4,162 lb). The power-to weight ratio, according to Volkswagen Group's figures, of 446.3 metric horsepower (328 kW; 440 bhp).
The sitting cost of this beauty is around 2.6 million dollars . it needs a top dollar earner to manage this beauty.
